„Let’s Hear It for the Boy“ is a profound exploration of male vulnerability and societal expectations of masculinity. This piece, developed by Emi Miyoshi and the SHIBUI collective, uses breath, voice, and touch to delve into fragility as a form of strength. In an intimate, immersive setting, the performance invites the audience to engage deeply with themes of fear, shame, care, trust, and emotional expression. Inspired by Bob Dylan’s moment of hesitation during the recording of „We Are the World,“ this work challenges traditional gender roles and redefines vulnerability as a powerful act of transformation.
